Woke up and saw some comments and feedback regarding the new Society Page in Johor Streets. People loved it! I'm glad.
Yesterday was World Animal Day and this cute three-month-old Chow Chow was getting its ears checked and cleaned, courtesy of Global Pets Sdn Bhd.
The owner told me he bought the Chow Chow at RM3,800.
One can also adopt a stray at the event. Give these puppies a decent home and the love that they deserve.
Today is Hari Raya Haji, a holy festival of sacrifice. Wishing the Muslim community "Selamat Hari Raya Aidiladha".
A prayer for the slaughtered offered as sacrifice. May they have peace and bliss in the hereafter.
As a Johorean, I have always enjoyed the articles on the back page of Streets,
ReplyDeleteRecently, the articles have been replaced with photographs of people who attend functions which nobody is aware of and holds absolutely no interest.
Some feedback and suggestions:
1. on the back page - go back to the article format and scrap the photos - it is an easy way to fill the page?
2. Instead of reporting why don't you try promoting events that will be happening.- give organizers a chance to promote events and for people with interest to attend. Most of us are working folks and Johor is not just JB - some planning is needed for a family to travel to such events.
3. Instead of promoting food available at hotels which is not really meals we can partake on a day-to-day. Probably, it is a matter of revenue as hotels pay you to promote their events. Give the small businesses a chance - go out and discover new makan places, competitons and fairs coming up - what people in the streets are talking about - what are the concerns of the rakyat.
There is still more feedback and suggestions - just a little at a time so as not to overwhelm.
Make Streets an interesting and meaningful read.

I love "Your Event", the new back page of Johor Streets. I saw my former boss in one event, and it brought back a flood of memories. It's like Malaysia Tatler.
